Deep Blues Festival 2022

Deep Blues Festival celebrates traditional and alternative Blues. The festival features music and musicians from all over the world that are inspired by Mississippi sounds and styles, particularly Hill Country and Delta Blues.

Over the course of four days, this intimate festival will have 7 musical performances at its main venues - The Shack Up Inn & The New Roxy. In addition to the ticketed main venue shows, there will be free live music at multiple busking stages throughout town all weekend. Of course, our local juke joints will have live music as well. 

Deep Blues Festival is a fan-driven event, largely supported by festival Benefactors. This support in advance allows us to secure bands, guarantee accommodations, and much more. We couldn’t do it without our Benefactors, and we appreciate every contribution! Keep reading to learn how to become a Benefactor and receive exclusive perks in return!

Important Ticket Information:

Benefactor passes go on sale May 13th. There will be an option to purchase a Benefactor pass OR a Benefactor + All-Festival pass bundle. All-Festival Passes will not be available for purchase individually until June 1st. 

Q: "My partner and I want to purchase one benefactor pass in order to book a room, but I do not care to receive the other benefactor perks. Can we purchase one benefactor pass and two all-festival passes?" A: At this time, we cannot open all-festival passes to be purchased independently from benefactor passes. We suggest purchasing the Benefactor + All-Festival bundle now, and purchasing your second all-festival pass on April 1st

Benefactor Passes are not tickets to the festival, but they DO guarantee the opportunity to purchase your All-Festival Pass (now or later - as long as they have not sold out) as well as first dibs on reservations at The Shack Up Inn. Please read the section on Benefactors in the FAQs below. 

All-Festival passes will be available to non-benefactors on June 1st. These passes guarantee entry to ALL shows Thursday-Sunday.  

FAQs

I bought tickets online. Where do I pick them up?

Your festival tickets/wristbands are available at the door of the first show at Will Call or at the door of The New Roxy once shows start Thursday night.

I purchased a Benefactor Pass. Do I still have to purchase tickets to the festival?

Yes. Your Benefactor Pass IS NOT your ticket to the festival. All benefactors must purchase an all-festival pass to attend the shows at New Roxy.

Ok..So what does my Benefactor Pass include?

Benefactor support in advance helps bring this festival together by allowing us to secure bands, guarantee their travel and accommodations etc. We couldn’t do it without you and we appreciate each and every contribution! Perks of being a benefactor include:

• First dibs on accommodation at The Shack Up Inn

•  Guaranteed opportunity to purchase an all-festival pass. All-Festival Passes guarantee access to ALL 7 shows.  Remember, tickets still must be purchased. Benefactor passes are NOT your festival tickets.

• Exclusive access to the Benefactors Ball - a special Friday night show for benefactors only! Limited snacks and libations will be available, and it will take place at an authentic Clarksdale Juke Joint.

• Access to the upstairs VIP section at New Roxy during all shows. This allows you to watch the shows from the balconies, occasionally mingle with the artists, and includes limited refreshments.

 I bought a Benefactor Pass. Does that include a guest for the perks?

While one Benefactor Pass will allow you to book a room for two at The Shack Up Inn, no guests are included in the pass for the other Benefactor perks. All members of your party must have a Benefactor Pass to be admitted to the Benefactors Ball and the New Roxy private lounge. 

My partner and I want to purchase one benefactor pass in order to book a room, but I do not care to receive the other benefactor perks. Can we purchase one benefactor pass and two all-festival passes?

Not until June1st. Benefactors get the first opportunity for all-festival passes beginning May 13th, which means we cannot open all-festival passes to be purchased independently from benefactor passes until they go on sale to the general public. We suggest purchasing the Benefactor + All-Festival bundle now and purchasing your second all-festival pass on June 1st. 

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

This festival is for grown folks. All attendees must be 21+. However, minors are welcome if accompanied by an adult.

Are other venues offering music during the festival?

Yes! New Roxy is the official nighttime venue included in the 4-day festival pass, but there are several other venues offering live music including Red's, Levon's, Hooker Grocer, Hopeless Case Bar at Hambone Art Gallery, and Ground Zero Blues Club. Separate cover charges will apply. 

Where can I find information about lodging?

What services are available at the festival venue?

NEW ROXY: Open air, beer and cash only establishment. You may bring your own liquor and purchase setups of ice/mixers.
