Evanston Friends: Decoy Prayer Meeting will be playing this Wednesday Feb 19 7-10pm at American Legion Post 42. Free music in a hip spot with full bar to warm that which needs warming.
DPM has been playing around Chicago since 2004, doing a variety of tunes from the the 40's through the 70's, by such as: Webb Pierce, Faron Young, Carl Perkins, Gene Watson, Eddie Cochran, Everly Brothers, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Byrds, Gram Parsons / Flying Burrito Brothers, Dylan, Stones, Marshall Crenshaw, Rank & File, and many others - along with our own original tunes. DPM has had the pleasure of sharing bills with The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Jason Ringenberg of the Nashville Scorchers (as well as backing Jason on the bandstand), Billy Don Burns, Nathan Graham, West of Texas, Waco Brothers, Hoyle Brothers - and most every honky tonk outfit in Chicago.
