Milwaukee Holiday Lights FestivalCathedral Square Park at 520 E. Wells St. is transforming into Community Spirit Park as part of the Annual Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival. The park will be full of trees decorated by schools and non-profits. Each tree represents a theme or wish demonstrated through hand-made ornaments.
The Shamrock Club will again be decorating one of those trees. Our theme this year is Keep the Hearth Fires Aglow. The Hearth in the home was more than a source of heat; it was a place for cooking and the hub of family gatherings. The fire was rarely allowed to die, as it was believed to attract good fortune and provide protection against evil. The crafting will start at 6:00pm and will be followed by a pot-luck dinner.
Also, mark your calendars for Saturday, November 16th. This is the day that we will head to Cathedral Square Park to decorate our tree. Decorating takes place at 10:00am. Any questions, you can contact Kathy Avery at 414-419-1895.
