Deconstructing Origin Stories is a series that explores how we share our community’s foundings. The series is intended to broaden the telling of history in the time of American settlement in northern Illinois to delve deeper into multiple perspectives. It will continue through 2025 and engage museum professionals in a process to revisit how we have long shared our founding stories.
