About this Event
Join MSJI (The Muslim Social Justice Initiative) for an immersive creative writing workshop that delves into practices of decolonial resistance.
This workshop is designed for writers, poets, activists, and anyone passionate about challenging dominant narratives and reclaiming silenced voices.
Through a series of guided writing exercises, discussions, and reflections, participants will explore how we build against colonial harm - and what keeps us going and resisting each day.
This event is open to Muslim young people and their friends and allies aged 18-30. In order to keep the space safe for young people, we will be keeping attendance to this age bracket.
MSJI are building an inclusive platform for Muslim young people to challenge social injustice. We are anti-racist, feminist and queer affirming. If you need any further information, or have accessibility requirements please email: [email protected].
To support this event, we ask that you provide a pay what you can donation when purchasing tickets. We have free tickets available for all that need them, and all of the money raised from ticket sales goes directly into supporting MSJI's work.
Please note that MSJI's first priority is always to safeguard the wellbeing of staff, volunteers, and participants. With this in mind, MSJI reserves the right to refuse or refund tickets at its discretion. Any decision to do so is not made lightly and will only ever be on the basis of safeguarding.
