Declaration of the Rights of the Clyde

A unique ceremony, with song and spectacle, in which we will celebrate the life of the river Clyde and promise to defend her rights.
About this Event

Join us for a participatory performance in Glasgow Green. Gathering at the McLennan Arch, then following Bonnie the giant salmon to a spot on the riverbank.

The text draws on river rights declarations from around the world with a focus on the Clyde as she runs through the city of Glasgow. You'll have a chance to add your voice to the declaration, and make your own promise to the river, by visiting our exhibition "The animate river" in Gallery 2 of The Briggait as part of the Watershed Festival.
