Community Waitākere is hosting a professional development session on:Deciphering Accounts: Practical Guide to Understanding Accounts for Charities.
As part of our Leading in Communities Programme we want to support the new trustees and kaimahi with learning more about accounts for charities.
This session is designed, for any staff member or trustee, to demystify the terminology used in accounts.
The session will be facilitated by Stephen Parker who has 15 years’ experience in Not-for-Profit Governance and serving as a treasurer and is a member of the Community Waitākere board.
The session will cover:
-Statements of Financial - Performance (P&L) and Position (Balance Sheet)
-Cashflow and fixed assets
-Budgets & Forecasts
-Health Checks & Ratios
This will be a free in person session held on:
Tuesday 28 June
From 12:00pm to 1:30pm
