Our speaker is Josh Pons, the two-time Eclipse Award-winning author of "Letters from Country Life: Adolphe Pons, Man O'War, and the Founding of Maryland's Oldest Thoroughbred Farm." He will discuss the history of Virginia's foundation Thoroughbreds through today's resurgence of Virginia racing and breeding.

🐎Dedication of Historic Marker for Boston:
Following Josh's presentation will be a Historic Marker Dedication for the famous thoroughbred horse Boston, who was foaled in Henrico County.
"Boston (1833-1850) was an outstanding Thoroughbred racehorse and a leading sire in North America three times from 1851 to 1853. He started in about 45 races, winning 40, including 15 in succession. There will also be a special tour of Historic Tuckahoe. Registration is required and there will be a $15.00 per person fee to cover additional staff at Historic Tuckahoe.
