December Picture Book Salon FIELD TRIP!!

Come on a field trip to a local publishing house for holiday treats and a chance to learn about new publishing opportunities! Acquiring editor Deidra Purvis will open the doors of Teacher Created Materials’ Minnesota office, home to the company’s two trade imprints: Free Spirit Publishing and Curiosity Unlocked Books. Deidra will introduce both imprints, with a special focus on the newest, Curiosity Unlocked Books. Be one of the first to browse new books and learn what makes a submission stand out from the pile. Deidra will share her wish list for royalty submissions to both imprints, and she’ll explain how to be considered for future work-for-hire projects. Bring any questions you have about either imprint or publishing in general!
