Sarah is a civil engineer and multifamily real estate investor living in Missoula, MT. She has three multifamily properties in Missoula and works for a national consulting engineering firm as a coastal and hydraulic engineer where she models river and coastal flooding, and designs restoration projects. Soon after jumping into real estate, Sarah quickly realized that all her experience in modeling complex flooding and hydraulics easily transferred to analyzing the financials of large multifamily and development projects. In addition to her full time engineering role, Sarah is the lead underwriter for Upslope Group where she has developed the proforma for a complex multi-phase Factory-Built Home Development project. In this talk Sarah will go over the fundamentals to analyzing real estate deals and developing proformas for estimating project and partner returns that can be applied to a range of real estate types including multifamily, development, and industrial.
