In 2020, RTI Surgical was preparing for a corporate separation in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. The complex process, coupled with the pandemic, presented unique challenges for communicating effectively with employees during a critical time. In this case-study, Amelia Bell, APR, CPRC, will present strategies for communicating with employees when your world is upside-down.
Bell is the communications manager for RTI Surgical where she is responsible for the company’s corporate and marketing communications including internal communications, media relations and corporate social responsibility initiatives. Throughout her career, Amelia has worked with public and private organizations to motivate external audiences to action, promote events, launch new products and inspire employees. Amelia is a Past-President of the Gainesville Chapter and recipient of FPRA’s Doris Fleishmann award.
