December Four Course Beer Pairing Dinner

On Saturday, December 14 , we are hosting a pre-holiday Beer Pairing Dinner! We'll pair up four Iron Hand beers with a four course dinner. Which beer would pair with your salad? What pairs well with a hearty meal? We'll explain why we chose each beer and course to compliment each other's flavor profile while you enjoy all the savory and sweet goodness!

For only $54, you get four flight glasses of different beer styles that we will pair with four courses from our scratch kitchen, plus a pint of your choice of any of our Iron Hand brews, for you to enjoy at any point during or at the end of the event.

Southern Cool Winter Weather is finally here, at least temporarily, so we chose hearty items to keep you warm! We will be on-hand during the event to talk about how the flavors match up. We will start with a social meet and greet at 5:30 and then will start the first course at 6 pm.

This month's pairings will include a Caesar Salad with our Czech style Pilsner, Nothing Special. Our house Caesar salad is made with virgin olive oil, fresh squeezed lemon juice anchovie filets, yolks and parmesan cheese. The salad is topped with sourdough croutons. Nothing Special is made with Bavarian pilsner malt and Czech Saaz hops.

The appetizer course will have a sampling of our Swedish meatballs, made with pork, beef and our sourdough breadcrumbs, smothered in a cream sauce. Rebecca's First Amber is our flagship brew, based on the recipe for our founder's first homebrewed beer.

For the main course we will have a hearty meat lasagna, with our house made sausage and italian meatballs. This will be paired with our hazy Hop-Lah IPA, to stand up to the richness of the meats and cheeses.

We will end the evening meal with a slice of cheesecake with a blackberry compote drizzle. This is paired with our Sixth Anniversary beer, Midnight Saison. The Midnight Saison is our interpretation of a winter warmer, using a spicy Belgian saison yeast.

This limited seating event is an opportunity to get to know other beer and food enthusiasts. Take this time to not just enjoy the food and beverage selections, but make new friends and enjoy the season.
