December Banned Book Club + Pressed Flower Frames

Banned Book Club: talk Looking for Alaska, then arrange pre-pressed flowers into a frame to take home. Supplies included!
About this Event

Make pressed flower frames + discuss Looking for Alaska with Chloe from Book Talk SLC. A creative, welcoming night celebrating the freedom to read.
We’re back for another month of banned books and good company, and this one’s a favorite for a reason.
November’s pick is Looking for Alaska by John Green, voted in by you, and we’re spending the evening doing what we love best: reading together, talking it through, and leaving with something to show for it. Expect meaningful conversation, genuine connection, and two 4x4 double-glass frames you’ll fill with pressed flowers and thrifted book pages, yours to take home as a little keepsake from the night.
Chloe from Book Talk SLC will lead the discussion, guiding the conversation around the book, why it’s been challenged and banned, and what makes stories like this one so worth reading together.
What your ticket includes:
Two 4x4 double-glass frames to decorate with pressed flowers and thrifted book pages
All supplies provided
Guided book discussion led by Chloe
A warm, creative night with fellow book lovers
