Come enjoy a FREE evening of fight scene entertainment - Art In Arms stage combat students and staff are performing a variety of scenes of violence from stage and screen! To showcase the work they've put in over the past semester, swashbuckling swordplay, slapstick comedy, and knockdown-drag-out brawling are all on the docket. From the classics to contemporaries...comedies, dramas, and action stories will all be represented, live at the Historic Mounds Theatre.This event serves as the public portion of the Society of American Fight Directors Skills Proficiency Test. As such, performers are evaluated by an independent adjudicator who provides feedback and assesses them according to national standards of safety and performance technique.
This year's event will feature about ten 3-minute scenes, so expect a runtime of less than 45 minutes - plenty of time to go get dinner after!
As mentioned above, this event is free to attend. The Mounds will be accepting donations to help cover the cost of the space.
