December 13 Sketch-Meet and Tiny Sketch Exchange

We are moving our December sketch-meet date to a week earlier (December 13) since our usual date would be getting a bit too close to Christmas. We’ll meet on Saturday December 13th at Zocalo (10826 - 95 St.) at 11am. Zocalo has a wonderful greenhouse area and a shop with unique gifts and crafts. Zenari’s Little Italy has recently opened a café in Zocalo so we can eat there at 1pm.
Along with our sketch-meet we will have a tiny sketch exchange (not obligatory):
Since we are in the gifting season, we thought it would be a fun idea to have a tiny sketch exchange at this sketch-meet. We will supply small blank cards and each card will have a number on the back. Everyone who wishes to participate picks up a card at 11am and makes a sketch on it before 1pm. Please sign your tiny sketch! We will relax the rules for the sketch exchange – it doesn’t have to be an urban sketch. (You will also be doing your urban sketches in your sketchbooks as usual.) At 1pm we will lay out all the finished sketched cards along with our usual sketchbook throwdown. We will have a matching set of numbers in a hat, and each participating sketcher will pull a number. You get to keep the sketched card with the matching number. A fun activity for our last sketch-meet of 2025!
11am: Meet at Zenari’s café in Zocalo and pick up your cards for the tiny sketch exchange.
Sketch on your card and in your sketchbook until 1pm.
1pm: Meet back at the café for the tiny sketch exchange, photos, and lunch.
