Decade: A Whale Watching Anniversary

We're celebrating a DECADE as a brewery!

Spend an entire weekend in New York City with us, as we bring the best experiences of our waterfront Whale Watching beer festival in New England to our three taprooms: VIP bottle share at Finback LIC on Friday, May 17; beer festival at Finback Brooklyn on Saturday, May 18; and chill "brewery hang" at our OG home in Glendale on Sunday, May 19.

The classic Whale Watching festival will return to Rhode Island on May 17, 2025.

VIP BOTTLE SHARE

Finback LIC (29-37 41st Avenue, Long Island City, NY)

Friday, May 17 | 7-10 p.m.

Our tenth anniversary weekend kicks off with an intimate gathering at the new Finback LIC, which focuses on mixed-fermentation ales and fruit-forward beers highlighting local ingredients. Enjoy rare bottles from 10 acclaimed producers that specialize in sour, wild, and mixed-fermentation beers, as well as special offerings curated by official Decade ambassadors Jose Manchola (@yankeerunner77) and Alex (@maspethbrew), with private access to the LIC facility's production space. Each ticket includes a commemorative Decade glass. Limited to 40 tickets. The taproom will be open to the public.

WWxX BEER FEST

Finback Brooklyn (545 President Street, Brooklyn, NY)

Saturday, May 18 | 12-3:00 p.m.

It wouldn't be a Whale Watching weekend without a beer festival! Finback Brooklyn will be closed to the public for this daytime bash featuring 10 top-notch lager breweries and 10 instrumental brewers that helped define the last decade. Enjoy unlimited pours from participating breweries as well as Whale Sightings timed releases—with an appearance by our gold magnum. Each ticket includes a commemorative Decade glass. Limited to 180 tickets. Dumpling Up will be open with a full à la carte menu. The taproom will reopen to the public at 4 p.m.

BACK TO THE BEGINNING BREWERY HANG

Finback Brewery (7801 77th Avenue, Glendale, NY)

Sunday, May 19 | 12-4 p.m.

Our tenth anniversary weekend finishes where it all began: at the OG spot in Glendale. We'll be highlighting 10 of our favorite New York State breweries and releasing new collaboration beers with great friends made through the years. The taproom will be open to the public, but celebrate with a ticket that includes a commemorative Decade glass and 2 beer tokens, redeemable for five-ounce pours. Additional beer tokens will be available to purchase on event day. Tokens will be $5 each or 5 for $20.
