debutants LiVE @ the philmore south | sunday 10.25.26 |

Debutants is a genre-blurring, seven-piece "Indiana Newgrass" string band based out of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Formed by longtime friends Lynn Nicholson and Jon Swain, the band has evolved from an acoustic duo into a formidable collective known for its high-energy, spontaneous live shows and intricate multi-part vocal harmonies.
The group blends traditional bluegrass instrumentation with a massive range of eclectic influences, including indie folk, Americana, Irish reels, classic rock, rockabilly, and improvisational jam band music. Because they utilize a unique bow-heavy string section featuring two fiddles and a cello, their music carries a rich, symphonious depth while retaining a foot-stomping, playful edge.
