The boss of an Irish crime family is getting killed in the earliest pages of They Shut Me Up, and the events leading up to that fatal moment are narrated by three minions in the syndicate. This is a funny and foul-mouthed look at a gang that needs better HR. It's a book with local color, Seinfeldian observations, and an ending that lands where you probably don't suspect the suspect.

Cassie Myers started working as a bookseller at Hicklebee's when she was 15 (starting as soon as she qualified for a work permit.) She's been a university science writer for years, but Hicklebee's doesn't known know how to quit her. So we're having a launch party for her debut novel. This is a free event for adults.
