Fri Aug 06 2021 at 06:00 pm to 07:00 pmUTC-07:00
Manny's | San Francisco, CA
What's going to happen to the Affordable Care Act?
Will the NCAA pay their players now? A cheerleeder's free speech?
Can religious small business owners turn away LGBT customers?
What is the future of the Voting Rights Act?
What did they decide, what does it all mean, and what will next year's session potentially look like?
We're hosting our resident Supreme Court expert Ben Feuer to debrief the recent Supreme Court session and help make sense of the new rulings.
The outcomes of the newly conservative Supreme Court has surprised many. What does that tell us about the Court going forward as issues with abortion, election rules, guns, unions, and much more come to the table?
The structure of this event will be about 45 minutes of discussion with Ben Feuer followed by small break out groups where YOU can meet some new folks and discuss what you just heard. We hope to help solicit a more collaborative discussion and hear the diverse stories in our city.
Manny's never turns away anyone for lack of funds. To receive a complementary ticket just email the word "grapefruit" to [email protected]
This event will be in person at Manny's but there will also be a Zoom link ticket for those who'd like to tune in digitally from the comfort of their home.
