Meet the author! On 11/27 Deborah Faulkner will be joining us in-store to sign her latest book, Henry's Denver Place!Take a tour of a Colorado landmark – the historic Brown Palace Hotel in Denver – led by Henry, an adventurous two-year-old Labrador and frequent visitor to the hotel. Debra Faulkner created this fun way for young readers to explore the history, architecture, events, and famous guests (both two and four-footed) of the Brown from a dogs-eye view. Henry is the namesake of Henry Cordes Brown who opened the hotel in 1892. Debra Faulkner is the staff archivist and historian at the Brown Palace. Christina Cookson of Wag Your Tail Photography produced the remarkable pictures of the adorable Henry.
A portion of the proceeds from this book go to support MaxFund, a Denver no-K*ll animal shelter, and the Brown Palace Archives Fund for the conservation of hotel treasures.
