RCWA is very excited to introduce Riverdale’s new waterway steward, Deborah Dodd. Deborah has started doing weekly Thursday cleanups at this abused area of the American River Parkway. After the flooding, there is TONS of trash and many abandoned camps that need restoring. Nature is suffering, and we all need to help. Thank you Deborah for taking on this challenge. In just a few weeks, there will be an amazing difference. One person’s commitment can inspire so many.
Parking is free at Camp Pollock and the cleanup sites are fairly close with level terrain. This is an easy to moderate level cleanup with lots of trash. We will continue to work with CoParks to remove our piles.
Please come out and help with this much needed project.
As with all events shared on our Page, participation is performed solely at your own risk. Please place safety FIRST and do only what you feel comfortable doing. Moreover, participants will be required to sign a Release and Waiver form if they have not done so previously.
Overall, be safe, have fun and get some “Exercise with a Purpose” as Bill Templin always says!
Thank you!?
