On Sunday, December 13, the Deborah Allen & Friends Sunday Gospel Matinee brings a Christmas edition to The Franklin Theatre with Dove Award winner Billy Gaines, Trick Pony co-founder Heidi Newfield, and the one-and-only McCrary Sisters.
Gospel with a groove meets holiday favorites: The McCrary Sisters, who’ve shared stages with Bob Dylan, The Black Keys, and Carrie Underwood, and Heidi Newfield, the honky-tonk fire behind “Johnny and June,” will be joined by Billy Gaines for an afternoon of Christmas songs and soul. Deborah Allen hosts a Sunday full of joy and community that’s the perfect way to kick off your holiday season.
