Deathtrap by Ira Levin
Directed by Christine Estabrook
June 7-9, 14-16, 21-23
Fridays & Saturdays at 7:30pm
Sundays at 2:30pm
Sidney Bruhl, a washed-up playwright, receives a script written by a former student Clifford Anderson, which would be a perfect play to revive Sidney’s reputation on Broadway. The plan to get possession of that script, change its author’s name and present it as his own is only the beginning. To say any more would give away the maniacal “twists and turns” that accompany this rollercoaster of a dark comedy-thriller by Ira Levin.
Total running time is about 2.5 hours, including one 15-minute intermission.
NOTE: There will be a special talk back with Christine Estabrook every Sunday afternoon, following the performance!
About the Director:
Christine Estabrook has starred in hit Broadway shows, won accolades and acting awards for off-Broadway performances, and earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from Yale Drama School.

She starred in numerous Broadway and off-Broadway plays earning Drama Desk nominations for North Shore Fish, Win/Lose/Draw, and winning a Drama Desk Award for The Boy’s Next Door. Christine spent the better part of 2007-2009 in New York performing in the Tony Award-winning musical Spring Awakening.
She has taught acting courses and workshops at ART Institute at Harvard University, in the MFA program at the University of California in San Diego, and as a guest lecturer at Niagara University, at AMDA, in Los Angeles, and at SUNY Oswego. She taught “Scene Study” and “Script Breakdown” at most universities but at USC team-taught with Helaine Head at the Cinema School, which emphasized the working relationship of actors to directors. Ms. Estabrook has had memorable roles in both film and television. You can see her work in Mad Men, American Horror Story, 9-1-1, Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, Designated Survivor, and Desperate Housewives, among many others.
Personally, “I want to look back and say I contributed of my soul with the time I was given and sparked a creative spirit in people.”
