In the six years since Deathpact’s first materialization, the anonymous electronic force has evolved from one of bass music’s biggest mysteries into one of its most immersive creative projects. Blending cinematic production with puzzle-driven storytelling, Deathpact has built a universe that extends far beyond music. Deathpact engages their fans through cryptic transmissions, immersive experiences, and following an ever-expanding narrative that blurs the line between artist and mythology. Even Deathpact’s live performances, known as “materializations,” continue to challenge perception, revealing two, and at times four, masked entities.
Following acclaimed collaborations with artists including Jean-Michel Jarre, REZZ, and Zeds Dead, Deathpact began unveiling FROM DARKNESS, the first half of a larger body of work. Instead of a traditional reveal, each release served as another transmission in an unfolding story, exploring the tension between chaos and serenity, life and death, darkness and light. The accompanying live experience carried the title FROM DARKNESS, COMES LIGHT, quietly revealing that FROM DARKNESS was never the destination, but only the beginning.
That journey reaches its culmination with FROM DARKNESS, COMES LIGHT, Deathpact’s complete transmission. Expanding beyond the project’s bass music foundation, the album explores melodic, cinematic, and emotionally expansive territory while remaining unmistakably Deathpact. It is the realization of a vision years in the making, bringing together every transmission, every puzzle, and every materialization into a single body of work.
Yet, true to form, answers only lead to new questions. If darkness gives way to light, what exists beyond the light? For Deathpact, the mystery has always been the reason.
