Death Café IN-PERSON AT DOROT
Schedule

UTC-05:00Location
Dorot | New York, NY
About this Event
Drink tea, eat cake, and talk about death. It just might change your life (for the better)! Death Café is a place to discuss mortality and death comfortably and openly and to wonder together about the mystery and meaning of life.
Join us for this free-wheeling, mostly self-facilitated conversation, inevitably touching upon life and living. If you have never attended a Death Café, ready yourself for wide-ranging and eye-opening conversations and know that each café is unique and deeply informed by the attendees who seem to unfailingly and wholeheartedly share their thoughts and feelings.
Snacks and beverages will be provided. Depending on the number of people participating, you will meet in groups of 5-8 and talk about whatever compels you around death and dying. It is asked that people participate with an open mind and spirit, respect all points of view, and speak and listen with no particular agenda, objective, or themes.
Overall, we hope the Death Café helps increase your awareness of death and dying with a view to helping you make the most of your (finite) life. And while anyone is welcome to attend a Death Café, please note that it is not a support or therapy group to address personal difficulties. We hope to see you there!
