Join us Wednesday, October 14th at 6:30pm for a Death Cafe.

A Death Cafe is a place where people, often strangers, gather over tea and cake to talk openly about death. It's not a grief support group or a counseling session — there's no agenda, no theme, and no push toward any particular conclusion. The goal is simply to increase awareness of death so we can make the most of the time we have.

The format was developed in the UK in 2011 and has since spread to 97 countries, with over 24,000 Death Cafes held worldwide. Each one is offered on a not-for-profit basis, in a respectful and confidential space, with refreshments

This Death Cafe will be facilitated by Yael Galinson, death doula, Jewish death educator, and board member of Sinai Memorial.
