death & grief queer meet-up: grief circle with agua y sangre healing

join us on Saturday November 30th from 5-7pm at Apothecary Tinctura for a tender grief circle to share our hearts, our grief, and our plant allies with michelle castor of agua y sangre healing. you're invited to bring an item to add to our collective altar. please prepare to wear a mask for this meet-up.

sky: two years ago, i was introduced to michelle’s herbal remedios that held and inspired my heart. i’m thrilled to have the opportunity to collaborate with them in bringing you this very special grief circle. when i attended my first grief circle with michelle, i was moved by their encouragement to envision a safe & accepting world. her work as a portal doula is truly magical from inviting in realms of plantitas, inspiring their community to create portals, and guiding beings through grief & birth. together we’ll share our hearts, our grief, our plant allies, and some somatic practices in this nourishing grief circle. i’m so grateful to be able to share this nourishing grief circle with you all. please prepare to wear a mask for this meet-up.

michelle: “This will be a gentle and supportive peer support circle for witnessing, processing grief, and presence. Reclaiming collective grief spaces helps us to hold, unpack, transform, and heal around grief through storytelling, embodiment, and leaning in To vulnerability. (you are always welcome to pass).

Our time together will include: creating an altar To our grief, heart-centered sharing & witnessing, time with herbal allies for tender hearts, and somatic practices for grounding and presence. We will begin and end with breathwork and/or somatic practices to hold the energetic container of the circle, helping us to enter with intention and move into the next part of our days more grounded. You are encouraged to take care before, during, and after the circle. ”

tickets: sliding scale $5-30

about our guests: Michelle Castor (she/they) is a mixed latinx queer femme of color and a portal doula. They work with folks navigating the portal-like experiences of grief & loss, fertility/TTC, and the postpartum. about our host: sky (they/them) is a queer autistic non-binary artist, tattooer, herbalist, and aspiring death guide. their intention for death & grief queer meet-up is to bring those moving through grief together, normalize collaborative conversation of death, and offer resources to community. this gathering is not a support group.

this gathering is not a support group. my intention is to provide a cozy space for queer and trans community to gather in mutal grief and cultivate joy through being together. feel free to come equipt with a care plan for yourself if things get overwhelming or overstimulating so you have the autonomy to take care as you need <3 support items like fidget toys, blankets, small stuffed animals, etc., are welcome.
