taking care
take a look at the agenda and for more details to support your planning for the most comfortable experience possible.
bring whatever you need to take care like beverages and snacks, or items to support any accommodations. although there will be plenty of options for purchase, it's good to come prepared with things you know you'll enjoy.
take breaks, as many as you need. there's no obligation to stay for the entire duration of the conference. use the agenda to come and go during any subjects you'd like while keeping in mind the timing to avoid disruptions as best as possible. there's also a back patio to take a break and get some fresh air.
lunch
there are many great food options at hooked on colfax, along colfax, and in the neighborhood including: spice room, atomic cowboy, mezcal, machete tequila tacos, chef zorba's, wellness sushi, chipotle, and more. city park is within walking distance if you want to eat in the park. alternatively, you can also take this time for a break at home or bring your lunch.
accessibility
please let us know if we left anything out or if you have any questions or concerns about accessibility. we want to collaborate with our participants to make our spaces as accessible as possible for you all.
stairs there are stairs leading down to the event space. unfortunately, there isn't an elevator or lift to access the downstair area. but please reach out with questions or concerns and we will do our best to collaborate with you to accommodate your needs.
participants there will be about 15-20 participants
covid safety masks are required for this event. however if masking will exacerbate or cause harm due to a current condition we understand and in the spirit of accessibility and safety, we ask that all attendees have a negative covid test immediately prior to attending our in-person conference events. we are using an honor system approach and will not ask you to show us a negative test. there will be two air purifiers in the space, one from covid safe colorado and a HEPA filter. there will be hand sanitizer available and access to a sink in the bathroom upstairs. a fan will be circulating the air. please stay home if you're sick, testing positive, or not feeling well. let us know if you have any additional comments or concerns.
lighting there are light fixtures on the side walls and some natural lighting that comes in from the ceiling. we will be avoiding any harsh overhead lighting.
sound music and chatting can get loud upstairs on a saturday, but our event space will be separate enough to allow us to hear the conference without too much echoing from above. we're anticipating it being a mostly quiet space.
parking there is street parking that is both free or paid by meter depending on where you park. there is parking in front of hooked on colfax and along the side streets. please allow yourself some extra time to find a parking spot that best fits your needs.
outside access although we can't guarantee that this will be a quite space there is a cute back patio that usually provides access to a quiet space with seating and fresh air if you need a break.
bathroom there is a one-person bathroom located upstairs
