Join The ALLICE Collective on Saturday, September 19th for a day built to pour back into our mothers and their support systems.

Come as you are. Sit in on an interactive workshop or wellness discussion, complete a perinatal mental health assessment, or talk with a mental health professional. Visit community vendor tables and learn about available resources, or just skip all of it and walk with us along the outdoor trail while the DJ plays our favorite songs.
We also have a mama's respite room, fatherhood lounge, and kids' zone. So, bring the entire family, your friends, and neighbors!

Kids' Zone & Youth Activities

We want every parent to be able to rest, connect, and take part in the day, so we've created space for the kids too.

Our Kids' Zone offers supervised creative activities for children ages 4 to 10, both indoors and outside. Kids ages 11 to 13 can join drop-in activities designed for older kids. Every staff member and volunteer working directly with children has completed a background check. Each child checks in with us, and a parent or guardian completes a consent form before they participate, so everyone is accounted for and cared for.

Have a little one under 4? Our Mama's Respite Room includes a nursing area, a quiet, comfortable space for moms and babies to take a break together.

Come be present. We've got the kids covered.

Mama's Circle
Call Me Mother Experience | Art That Testifies
Host: Deborah D.E.E.P. Mouton

Info: Founder Deborah D.E.E.P Mouton leads participants through an art-making activation that helps put a face to the staggering statistics of the Black Maternal Health Crisis. Join her to create art for an upcoming exhibit and to discuss how art can help lift our collective voices and find new solutions.

Beyond the Caregiver Role
Host: Dr. Amber Gunner

Info: Caring for others can be deeply meaningful, but the pressures that come with it can shape how we show up in ways we don't always recognize. In this interactive session, mothers and caregivers will explore how identity and outside pressures influence their caregiving patterns, from taking on too much to stepping back when demands feel overwhelming. They'll learn to tell the difference between helping, enabling, and empowering, and leave with practical tools and an intentional next step toward caring for others in a way that supports their own well-being too.

Let’s Talk Health: The Heart of Maternal Mental Health
Host: Dr. Karen Opara

Info: This interactive discussion looks at how mental health and heart health shape maternal health, with real attention to what Black mothers experience every day. We'll talk about chronic stress, sleep, anxiety, inflammation, blood pressure, and the ways long-term stress wears on the body over time.

Fatherhood Lounge
The Check-In
Host: Rashad A. Sanders

Info: The Check-In | Dear Mama Edition is a guided wellness experience designed to provide a supportive space to slow down, speak honestly, and reconnect with themselves and one another. This space will blend mindfulness, breathwork, movement, guided meditation, and journaling to support emotional awareness, nervous system regulation, and meaningful brotherhood. Fathers will leave feeling more centered, connected, and supported, with practical tools they can use with their partners, co-parents, and children.

What He Carries Home
Host: Quentin R. Jiles, LCSW

Info: What He Carries Home is a guided group discussion on the patterns men learned young, and who ends up living with them.
