10 years since its bombshell Broadway debut, Dear Evan Hansen has continued to move audiences with its profound and compelling message, managing to seamlessly strike a timeless chord within a most contemporary setting.

Encore! Musicals Berlin e.V. is proud to present Germany's English-language premiere of this musical powerhouse, featuring:

• A live band to underscore each performance and breathe unparalleled life and energy into this theatrical spectacular! We at Encore pride ourselves on our use of live musicians for our large-scale productions.
• A small but mighty cast of dedicated local talent who have been honing their craft for several years.

Shortly after the unbelievable success of our last full-scale production, Little Shop of Horrors, Encore is back and we're ready to wow audience members, both old and new, with our latest creative project.

Awkward, introverted and socially-anxious teenager Evan Hansen has felt invisible his whole life... until an unexpected tragedy lands him in the middle of a public controversy. Initially believing he's been given a once in a lifetime opportunity: the chance to be someone (anyone) other than himself, Evan soon realises the shine of the spotlight may be far brighter than he can handle.

As a little white lie slowly but surely takes on a life of its own, Evan and those around him become caught up in the ramifications of the ever-changing, constantly-evolving narrative being told faster than it can be written.
