Transport & Address:
We will be working at Deangarden Wood. We will meet on site at 10am and finish at approximately 3.30pm. We will meet at Abbey Barn Business Centre. The address is: Abbey Barn Lane, High Wycombe HP10 9QQ
Please can we ask everyone to arrive on time to ensure you do not miss the health & safety and task briefing. If you are late and the session has already started, you may not be able to join. Thank you.

The Task:
It's cutting season! Deangarden Wood grasslands are being cut and collected to prepare for next years wildflowers. Plenty of tasks for everyone to keep this woodland awesome, if you can't stay for the whole day, join us for an hour or two.
Timings (please note these timings are approximate):
10.00: Arrival for safety briefing, please don't be late!
10.15: Work begins
11.30: Tea & coffee break
13.00: Lunch Break - please bring your own
15.30: Work finishes, time to go home!
What to bring:
Please bring your gloves (we will have spares) and dress for the weather and the task.
Long trousers are advisable as there is thorny vegetation. We also recommend wearing steel toe capped or sturdy boots rather than trainers.
Wear layers that you can remove if you get hot whilst working. Bring a waterproof as most of our sites have no shelter from the rain.
Please bring plenty of fluids and a packed lunch. We will bring a tea kit and biscuits.
Access:
Deangarden Wood is on the site of an old ski slope and may not be suitable for people who are unsteady on their feet or who have limited mobility.
Volunteering and COVID-19:
Please do not attend sessions if you have tested positive for COVID or if you have COVID symptoms e.g. a new continuous cough, a high temperature, a loss of, or change in your normal sense of taste or smell.
