On Wednesday the 31st of July, Indie folk and Alt-Country singer-songwriter Dean Luke will be launching his new single What Do I Know? at Naarms cosiest music venue. Dean's songs explore topics of love, loss and existential challenges and are characterised by lush vocals, strong melodies and heartfelt lyrics.
His music has drawn comparisons to Elliot Smith, Jeff Tweedy of Wilco and Bands like The Sundays and Yo La Tengo.
What Do I Know? is Dean's first release as a solo artist. It's a catchy, melancholic two and a half minute bop dedicated to existential despair and feeling lost and confused within yourself and the world.
Supporting on the night will be Hologram Sam, the moniker of Naarm based singer-songwriter Evan Jones. Evan's music professes an obvious love for the harmonies of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, the guitar tunings of Joni Mitchell and the lyrics of Bob Dylan.
Moody candlelit music is the best way to spend a wintery Wednesday night.
