Dean is also a talented songwriter, with over 500 songs in his portfolio, he notes Dolly Parton as a great influence to his writing style, with Garth Brooks and Conway Twitty as his favorites.

Dean Crawford and The mighty Dunn’s River Band are the most booked and hardest working country music entertainers in the Tri-State Area. Dean and the band hold numerous awards, Dean was honored to win the Maryland Music Award for Songwriter of the Year and the band collectively hold awards for Performers of the Year and Best Country Artists in Maryland! They took 3rd place in BEST OVERALL BAND IN THE REGION behind an 80's Tribute Band (1st) and a Jazz Band (2nd) and are currently nominated for THE BEST OF BALTIMORE.
