About this Event
The Deakin50 Burwood Community Festival is a vibrant celebration to mark the end of our 50th-anniversary year at our iconic Burwood Campus.
This one-night-only event features free children’s face painting and rides – from teacups and a pirate ship to a ferris wheel – food trucks offering a variety of delicious cuisines and a spectacular fireworks show.
We welcome our alumni, students, staff and the surrounding communities we serve to join us. It’s an event for all-ages, bringing together diverse communities to celebrate the University’s progressive history and set the stage for our next 50 years.
Enjoy a once in a generation experience with live entertainment and DJ, roving entertainers and kids activities, making it a perfect outing for families or anyone interested becoming part of Deakin’s history.
