About this Event

Dead Wrong: A Case File Event is a free, in-person interactive mystery competition open to the general public.

Investigate the case

In the first case, “The Last Holiday,” a woman is mysteriously murdered while celebrating her 30th birthday in Washington, DC. Someone has already been convicted—but was justice truly served?

Work in teams through three competitive rounds, examining realistic case files, witness statements, photographs, newspaper clippings, and other evidence. Each round brings new information and a specific objective. Teams earn points for their findings, and the highest-scoring team wins.

Good to know
  • Bring friends or come solo; individual attendees will be assigned to teams.
  • No detective experience is necessary.
  • This is an immersive, competitive mystery-solving experience—not an escape room or M**der mystery dinner.
  • Registration is required. Please arrive on time so all teams can begin the investigation together.
  • All cases and characters are fictional.
