Emerging as one of Derby’s most exciting rock acts, No Setting Sun blend the timeless energy of classic rock ‘n’ roll with a bold, modern take on post-grunge and hard rock.
Propelled by riff-driven guitars, powerful rhythms, and memorable vocal hooks, their sound echoes the intensity of bands like Alter Bridge, Soundgarden, Velvet Revolver, and The Wildhearts.
Formed in 2018, No Setting Sun quickly built a reputation as a thrilling live act, sharing stages across the UK with notable artists including Marisa and The Moths, Oli Brown, Black Spiders, Black Lakes, and These Wicked Rivers.
The band gained national recognition when their debut single “The Lions Fight” was featured on BBC Introducing—renowned for spotlighting the UK’s hottest emerging talent. Their debut EP, “From the Earth”, earned praise from ERB (Emerging Rock Bands) Magazine, who awarded it 8/10, describing the band as “a band not to miss live” (December 2022 issue).
2024 and 2025 saw No Setting Sun embark on a series of self-managed headline and supporting tours throughout England, Wales and Scotland, coinciding with a series of acclaimed single releases. Singles such as the anthemic, crowd-energizing “Old Foes” and the gritty, emotionally charged “Reach The End” received extensive airplay across regional and national UK radio, further cementing their rising profile.
