About this Event
In the chaos of her dressing room, Gray relives it all. This new Canadian work unravels the suffering in death, diagnoses, and daughterhood. Through a series of never sent letters, monologues, and poetry, it asks: What does it mean to 'be loved'? What does it mean to be 'better'? When is it okay to give up? Where do we go when we die?
Produced by BULLETPROOF THEATRE GROUP
Written by Lucy Selders Brodie
Directed by Emily Paterson
DEAD DOE has a runtime of approximately 75 minutes with no intermission. A small 40-seat space nestled in the heart of Parkdale, the intimate nature of the Assembly Theatre leaves no veil between Gray's world and yours.
Please be advised that DEAD DOE contains discussions of suicide and self harm, as well as strobe sequences.
