Deacon Blues is the only Deacon Blue tribute band hailing from Scotland. Being based there, they are immersed in the iconic songs and the emotions behind them, and carry this into their performance.
They have played all over the UK to fantastic acclaim, whipping festival audiences into a frenzy, singing along with every word, with their authentic reproduction of the greatest hits, such as Chocolate Girl, Fergus Sings the Blues, Real Gone Kid, Dignity and many more.
The band is currently preparing for a tour of the UK next year, to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the release of the trailblazing Raintown Album. The show will feature the entire album, in the order of the original track-listing.
The album was released in 1987 and is widely praised as Deacon Blue's finest work. It has overtones of a concept album, relating to the struggles of urban life in the inner city.The city being unmistakably Glasgow.
We are extremely excited at the prospect of performing the album, with the band members being first and foremost huge Deacon Blue fans, and, as dedicated musicians, being as true to the original arrangements as possible.

The chances are that “Simple Minded” already have it in their “ready to go” catalogue. Whether its diehard fans with early and album tracks, or a festival crowd who have come for “The Hits” they will leave raving about the performance.

The band is based in Central Scotland and has toured far and wide throughout the UK and further afield across Europe and even Dubai. They have played at some of the largest UK festivals including “Rewind” and have a huge following wherever they play. Their sets are tailored so that everyone gets an unforgettable experience. They have recently collaborated with some former members and have close links with current band members.

They are THE go-to Simple Minds tribute act.
