Too often, unused prescription drugs end up in the wrong hands—with dangerous and sometimes tragic consequences. That’s why it’s inspiring to see thousands across the country step up, clean out their medicine cabinets, and safely and anonymously turn in a record amount of medications. Join us in Baton Rouge for our Fall DEA RX Take Back Day and be part of the solution!What's in your cabinet? Drop off your expired, unused and unwanted prescription or over-the-counter drugs, vaping devices and cartridges for safe disposal. Join representatives of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), local law enforcement, first responders and members of the Baton Rouge Health District for this annual event.
HERE’S HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
• Drive through the covered front entrance at Baton Rouge Police
Department headquarters, on the side near Airline Highway/
Connell’s Village.
• Drop off your expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs or have a representative get them from your vehicle.
• Law enforcement safely disposes of everything that is collected.
CAN’T MAKE IT ON OCT. 25?
• The Baton Rouge Police Department and law enforcement agencies throughout the state have secure drop
boxes where you can get rid of old, expired or unused medication year-round.
• Drop-off is anonymous, and no questions will be asked.
• These boxes are provided through a partnership of the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office, Louisiana Blue
and the National Association of Drug Diversion Investigators.
