Er demokratiet på spil i de næste 25 års verdenshistorie? Er vi på vej mod en ny verdensorden – eller ingen? Kan demokratiet tabe? Hvad afgør magtfordelingen – og hvad afgør rollerne til USA, Kina, Rusland og Europa?
Analysen fra Clement Kjersgaard er klar: Turbulensen er først lige begyndt. Og “de gode gamle dage” kommer ikke tilbage. Over de sidste 10 år har udviklingen igen og igen overrasket både politikere og eksperter – tænk bare på corona, Ukraine, tech, klimaet – og dét har afsløret magthavernes magtesløshed. Politikerne tager fejl, når de tror, at vi står rustet til fremtiden: Tværtimod undervurderer de stadig de udfordringer, der venter.

Baseret på sin enorme historiske viden og sit overblik over den globale situation giver Clement i foredraget sine bud på de ovennævnte temaer – efterfulgt af god tid til spørgsmål og svar.

Om Clement Kjersgaard
Clement (f.1975) voksede op i Aarhus, rejste som 16-årig alene til Hong Kong, hvor han tog sin studentereksamen og blev uddannet på Universitet i Oxford (i Filosofi, Politik og Økonomi). I 2002 grundlagde han nyhedsmagasinet RÆSON (raeson.dk), og siden 2004 har han lavet tv (og senere også radio) for DR på et hav af programmer – herunder Debatten, Deadline, Clement Direkte og en række programmer om USA og Storbritannien. Som 35-årig blev han vinder af Publicistprisen. Han er en af landets mest efterspurgte foredragsholdere og ordstyrere.

Is democracy at stake in the next 25 years of world history? Are we heading towards a new world order – or none at all? Can democracy lose? What determines the distribution of power – and what determines the roles of the USA, China, Russia, and Europe?
The analysis from Clement Kjersgaard is clear: The turbulence has only just begun. And the "good old days" will not return. Over the last 10 years, developments have repeatedly surprised both politicians and experts – think of events like the coronavirus, Ukraine, tech, and climate – revealing the powerlessness of those in control. Politicians are mistaken if they believe we are prepared for the future; on the contrary, they still underestimate the challenges that lie ahead.

Based on his extensive historical knowledge and his overview of the global situation, Clement offers his insights on the aforementioned topics in the lecture – followed by ample time for questions and answers.

About Clement Kjersgaard:
Clement (b. 1975) grew up in Aarhus, traveled alone to Hong Kong at the age of 16, where he completed his high school education and studied at the University of Oxford (in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics). In 2002, he founded the news magazine RÆSON (raeson.dk), and since 2004, he has produced TV (and later radio) programs for DR, including "Debatten," "Deadline," "Clement Direkte," and several programs about the USA and the UK. At the age of 35, he won the Publicistprisen. He is one of the country's most sought-after lecturers and moderators.
