De-escalation Training

De-escalation training topics:

• Early identification: Recognizing signs of agitation and intervening early
• Conflict resolution: Using negotiation and mediation to address the underlying drivers of conflict
• Empathy: Being nonjudgmental and trying to understand the other person's feelings
• Personal space: Allowing space to show respect and decrease anxiety
• Boundaries: Setting clear guidelines for what is acceptable
• Calmness: Remaining calm and not letting your own emotions impact you
