Join us for DC's second annual Military & Veteran Pride, an official event of Capital Pride! Last year for World Pride, we held three events over three days. This year, we're holding one big event with multiple partner organizations. Your primary hosts are SPARTA Pride and Association of Flight Attendants; other participating partner orgs include AVER, Black Veterans Project, Capital Pride, DC Mayor's Offices of LGBTQ+ Affairs and Veterans' Affairs, Minority Veterans of America, and Out in National Security.Event location: Address will be provided upon RSVP and is a short walk from Union Station
Event timing: 5-8pm ET. Doors open at 5pm for an hour of mingling, appetizers, and browsing resource tables. Starting at 6pm, in a nod to Juneteenth, we'll have a panel with LGBTQ+ military and veteran leaders on the intersectional fight for civil rights. From around 6:45 til 8 enjoy more community socializing and snacking. Following the event, attendees may want to head to Capital Pride's kick-off party!
Who it's for: This event is open to LGBTQ+ service members, veterans, family members, and allies.
Cost: Tickets are free but RSVP is required to ensure we have enough food and drinks and don't exceed capacity
