DCMS Areas of Research Interest Event - University of Manchester - 14 July
About this Event
Following the publication of DCMS’s recently refreshed list of Areas of Research Interest (ARIs), Policy@Manchester and DCMS’s Chief Scientific Adviser (CSA) team are delighted to announce the first of the in-person events supporting dissemination and engagement for the ARIs.
Taking place from 13:00-17:00 on Tuesday, 14th July at the Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, the event will focus on how researchers and DCMS can use the ARIs to strengthen and consolidate research partnerships.
The session will introduce the ARIs, DCMS’s broader science system, and outline case studies of how evidence is used at DCMS. There will then be a series of presentations from academics reflecting on their research’s engagement with policy. The final part of the session is designed for researchers and policymakers to connect as part of curated roundtables exploring specific ARI themes. The afternoon concludes with the opportunity for informal networking.
