About this Event
If you're a writer navigating the often arduous experience of publishing, this event is for you. The DC Writers' Salon A&A Q&A (agent & author question & answer) series provides writers with opportunities to hear from experienced folks on different facets of the publishing world.
For our February event, we're featuring fiction writer, poet and essayist Virginia Hartman
Hartman is the author of The Marsh Queen, a novel that explores the eloquent and limitless expanse of parental love. Her fiction, poetry and essays have appeared in the Hudson Review, Alaska Quarterly Review and the Washingtonian, among others; she holds an MFA from American University and also teaches creative writing at George Washington University and at the Writer’s Center in Bethesda.
We'll start with snacks and refreshments, our guest speaker will give a 30 minute talk, then we'll follow that with a Q&A discussion and mingling.

Based in Dupont, the DC Writers' Salon is a studio and community for writers. The Salon helps us make space and time for what we love to do: write. But more than that, it invites us to engage with the otherwise solo, and sometimes grueling, process of writing in a way that's more connected and accountable. Learn more at DCWritersSalon.com.
