About this Event

If you're a writer navigating the often arduous experience of publishing, this event is for you. Join us for an A&A Q&A (agent & author question & answer), a series to provide writers with opportunities to hear from experienced folks on different facets of the publishing world.

Our next event is on Thursday, October 17th from 6:30 - 8:00pm featuring author and poet Nick Gardner.

Nick Gardner is the author of three books: "So Marvelously Far," a collection of sonnets about addiction and recovery in the Rustbelt; "Hurricane Trinity," a climate change novella; and "Delinquents and Other Escape Attempts," a collection of linked stories. His writing and criticism has appeared in Adroit Journal, BarrelHouse and Epiphany, among others, and he’s received support from the Elizabeth George Foundation, Vermont Studio Center, the De Groot Foundation and DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities.

We'll start with snacks and refreshments, our guest speaker will give a 30-minute talk, then we'll follow that with a Q&A discussion and mingling. This event is a collaboration between the DC Writers' Salon and Inner Loop.

Based in Dupont, the DC Writers' Salon is a studio and community for writers. The Salon helps us make space and time for what we love to do: write. But more than that, it invites us to engage with the otherwise solo, and sometimes grueling, process of writing in a way that's more connected and accountable. Learn more at DCWritersSalon.com.

The Inner Loop cultivates and promotes the distinctive literary culture of Washington, DC by connecting both emerging and established writers to each other and to their community. Learn more at TheInnerLoopLit.org.
