Julia Garcia (Aymara) and her family will be sharing Bolivian games, such as La Rayuela, a classic playground game playable by one or more participants of any age in which players toss a small object into a pattern on the ground and then hop through the spaces to retrieve it. Garcia will also teach visitors to play El juego del Sapo (The Toad Game), a precision game in which players aim to land a certain number of tejos (discs made of iron, bronze, or steel) into the toad's mouth.
Renée Gokey (Eastern Shawnee, Sac and Fox with Miami descendancy) will share Mahkisina Meehkintiinki (Moccasin Game) played by the Myaamia, and see examples of Myaamia ribbon work used to make the game pieces.
Museum staff will also engage visitors in various string games from across the Western Hemisphere, as well as a craft activity in which participants create a game based off the Penobscot ball and triangle game in the museum's collection to take home.
