DC Sketchfest is DC's only sketch comedy festival and features 36 comedy troupes from the US and Canada for four days only, March 26-29, at The DC Arts Center. DC Sketchfest is organized by the DC sketch comedy community and founded by Bad Medicine and Rails Comedy.
Lemon Pepper and Sazón Comedy
Lemon Pepper and Sazón (LPS) Comedy is a collective of diverse performers in the Hampton Roads area founded in 2018 at the Push Comedy Theatre of Norfolk, VA. LPS was created to showcase POC (People of Color) in improv and sketch comedy. The group includes seasoned and trained actors, models, comedians, sketch writers/performers, improvisers, hosts, singers, bloggers and influencers. Lemon Pepper and Sazón Comedy was founded on the idea of bringing diversity and inclusion to improv and sketch comedy in the Hampton Roads Area and beyond.
Chaps
Chaps is DC’s first all-women comedy super group made up of experienced jokesters from some of DC’s top sketch comedy teams. Adorned with their signature, jaunty suspenders and mustaches, Chaps’ vaudeville-inspired performances transcend feminine tropes with their unique blend of dark, witty, and absurdist humor.
A.J. Schraeder
A.J. Schraeder has been performing sketch comedy for nearly 2 decades now. During that time, he's brought shows to colleges across the country, been invited to comedy festivals across North America, and sold commercial ideas and content to brands around the world. He is the most recent winner of the Judges Choice award DC Sketchfest's 24-hour sketch contest and has been awarded the title of Best in Fest at the Columbus Brew HaHa and Atlanta Sketchfest. In the commercial world, he has worked with major brands such as Doritos, Legos, and Anheuser-Busch InBev.
