When something about you gets lost in translation, what matters most to you?

Before the salon, you'll answer this question and discover your Lit Society archetype. Based on your response, you'll receive a curated selection of books exploring the prompt. Your results come with a curated selection of books. Choose one title and plan to start reading it at the salon.

Complete the quiz as soon as you purchase so you have time to get hold of your recommended title, then bring a copy with you in whatever format you like: library, ebook, borrowed, or already on your shelf!

The afternoon will unfold as part reading hour, part literary salon, and part collective reflection.

We'll begin with a quiet communal reading session before moving into guided conversations inspired by the books, perspectives, and questions each guest brings to the room. Then we'll open the room for a speed book swap, where you'll meet readers from other archetypes and hear what they chose.

Together we'll explore In Translation through literature, using stories as a way to better understand ourselves, one another, and the world around us.

Most importantly, this will be an intimate, low-pressure gathering for readers who enjoy thoughtful conversation and making space to think. Sharing during discussion is always optional.
