About this Event
Make new friends and skate to the GO GO beat as we celebrate the conclusion of Girl Scouts' 58th National Council Session here in Washington, DC. Join SU 40-03 at Anacostia Park for a fun-filled day.
Girl Scouts will participate in a variety of Girl Scout activities. Practice pitching a tent, knot tying, leaf rubbing, button making, making friendship bracelets, and more. The Anacostia Skating Pavilion provides free skate rentals; however, it has a limited stock available, and you are encouraged to bring your own skates.
Young Skaters will need an adult with an ID to rent skates. Remember to bring your SOCKS!
Each attendee should bring their water bottle, a lawn chair, and don't forget your sun protection. This is not a drop-off event. Girl Scouts must be accompanied by an adult or troop leader. Car pooling is highly recommended and encouraged.
