The Center of Excellence for Infant and Early Childhood at the Taghi Modarressi Center for Infant Study, Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, University of Maryland School of Medicine in partnership with ZERO TO THREE, will be sponsoring a DC:0-5 Clinical Training to support high quality infant and early childhood assessment and diagnosis in Maryland. This training equips experienced practitioners to identify and apply a diagnostic classification system specifically for infancy and early child disorders using an Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH) perspective that is developmentally informed, relationship-based, contextual, and culturally responsive.DC:0-5 is the leading diagnostic classification system for mental health and developmental disorders in children from birth to 5 years of age. The DC:0-5 Manual provides a comprehensive framework for assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning, and is the foundation for all DC:0-5 training and certification.
